Everything You Write Sounds Like Death

from A National Treasure by Scott Brookman

/

about

This clunky dinosaur of a tune was a protest against such non-melodic 90's music as, ick, grunge. The verse complains, the choruses celebrate "healing harmonies." The ending goes on and on just for the pure join of singing harmony. Easily my most Robyn Hitchcock-like number. A few years later a different version appeared on "The Busy World of Scott Brookman" vinyl Ep.
