In My Hometown

from A National Treasure by Scott Brookman

/

about

This one is about my own disbelief that my family, who had lived in the same small town (city actually) for generations, had no beneficial connections AT ALL, nothing that could "help a young man on his awful climb." Easily seen as universal, this is for real stuff about me. It's rare that a song is all about me. Musically, it could be a leftover from XTC's "English Settlement."
