about

This song is about a wonderful kid who went to my elementary school. He used to tell these awesome lies about his exploits and say things that couldn't be true: he'd ridden his tricycle to the North Pole and he was older than his mom. Other real details from that school are in the song: another kid who make these bets about weird feats of gastronomy...namely that he could drink x-amount of vinegar. The verse of this song, at least, seems appropriately peppy for the subject. There's some dashing acoustic guitar runs in this one that are not cringe-worthy.
